Whole School Reminders Week 2 Term 2

Whole school reminders/updates:

 

Uniform Shop  

• Uniform items can now be purchased direct from our new “Uniform Shop”
• Open: Mondays 8.30am to 9.15am and on Fridays 3.00pm to 3.45pm.

(If you need items outside of these hours please place an order via the office staff)   

• The second hand stall is opened by a parent volunteer and will be open this week Tuesday & Thursday afternoon 3.15pm to 4pm and Friday morning before/after W&P. 

 

Pentecost Sunday 20 May

• The Gawler Lutheran Church will worship at Immanuel School on Sunday 20 May 2018  to celebrate PENTECOST SUNDAY
• Service starts at 10am, school families welcome to come and worship too, a shared lunch will follow.
• The schools dance group, band and drama group will perform   

 

ICAS Testing – Digital Technology Tuesday 8 May

 

Mother’s Day Stall Thursday 10 May

• Students can purchase a gift for mum – prices range $1 to $5
• Remember your money

 

Junior Youth evey Thursday this term 4pm to 5.30pm

• For students in years 4, 5, 6/7 with Emma Lange in Mr Semmler’s room

 

P&F Meeting Thursday 10 May 7pm (staffroom)

• Planning the upcoming School Disco on 1/6/18 – all welcome

 

·         Quiz Night  is being postponed till Term 3 (sorry!)  

·          

·         Giant “Chefs Toolbox”  Raffle

• The draw date has been extended to Cabaret Night (15/6/18) 
• Come and purchase a ticket from the office $20 each
• First Prize is the Kitchen Aid Cook Pro worth $2,099

 

Friday Electives

• The first lot for term 2 will be run in week 3 and week 4  (Friday 18 and Friday 25 May).  
• If there are any parents wanting to run an elective please let Julian or Daryl know ASAP. 

(eg, a sport, a craft, an experiment)

 

Worship & Praise this Friday 11 May at 9am with Mr Davies and his yr 4’s – all welcome

 

Grasshopper Soccer for girls and boys aged 4-11

·         being held at Immanuel School starts this Wednesday (9/5/18) after school 3.35-4.25pm (for 7 weeks)

·         Please register by completing the enrolment form or contacting luke@grasshoppersoccer.com.au

 

Scholastic Book Fair next week in the Library

·      Parents and students can come, browse and purchase books on Tues, Weds, Thurs morning & afternoon and Fri morning. 

 

Volunteers Training Session (VSC) next Wednesday 16/5 at 2.30pm or 6.30pm

·         We welcome parents to help volunteer around the school, but you do need to have done the VSC training.  (every 3 years). 

·         Please RSVP to Jenny or to have more info.   

 

Subway Lunches - orders in by Wednesday 3.30pm for lunch on a Friday
