Whole School Reminders Week 3 Term 4

Whole school reminders/updates:

Valuing Safe Communities – Volunteers Training with Daryl
  • Weds 31 Oct at 2.30pm & 6.30pm  Please RSVP jennyj@ilsg.sa.edu.au
  • This training needs to be renewed every 3 years (some parents are due in Term 1 2019 so this session may be an opportune time to renew before the start of next year)

Worship & Praise
  • Friday 2 November 9am with Mr Blasche  
Assembly
  • Monday 5 November at 2.45pm with Specialist Teachers

Special Friends Day – Friday 16 November 9.30-11.30am (for grandparents or that special friend)
  • It is no longer this Friday 2 Nov – apologies
  • Invitations and how to RSVP will be out this week

Gawler Village Fair Sat 3 Nov – come say hello at our schools stall
Youth Art Exhibition organised by Rotary Gawler is displayed at the Village Fair
  • Entry forms need to be in by 5pm today Monday 29 Oct – click here to download details and the entry form.  Art needs to be delivered to the Village Fair Saturday at 9am

2019 Planning:
  • If you have input re class placements for 2019 please email darylt@ilsg.sa.edu.au by Friday 2 November (week 3)

Operation Christmas Child
  • Thank you for all the donations.  Carers group sent off over 70 shoeboxes. 

Bingo Night - Fri 9 Nov – starts at 7pm – for families, friends and kids can come too!
  • $10 entry and includes one bingo book

Year 6/7 PYP Exhibition
  • Wednesday 14 November 6.30pm-8pm or Thursday 15 November 9am-10am
  • For parents of our year 6/7’s and for anyone who has an interest is seeing a great exhibition of work

  • Some students are asking for various donations to support their display.
  1. Clothes bin for old clothes, fabrics or shoes (in Taikondi)
  2. Glass bin – for glass jars etc (in the office)

  • The Senior Unit is frantically putting work into their Exhibition topics for 2018. Some of the groups have compiled surveys to try to get  greater information and understandings. We would appreciate it if you could spend the time to fill out a survey or two from the list below. All you need to do is hit the link and you will be transported to the individual survey. No survey has more then 10 questions, so they take very little time to complete. Thank you.

Local and Connected – as you will know, local council elections are coming up very soon. But you probably aren’t aware that there are three candidates from our school community!!
We encourage our school community to engage in the local council election process. The work they do for our community is important and valued by us as a school.

End of Term 4
  • Wednesday 12 December last day of school – 2pm Graduation Service for all students . 
  • We will be offering care arrangements for students who need it on the Thursday 13th / Friday 14th December and more details will follow later.
